  • ‘Two Minute Warning’

“It’s almost surreal – the possibility of a nuclear holocaust is so
terrifying, but to actually turn it round and try to make it beautiful –
and the tune is very light and bouncy – is more of a challenge than making
it doomy. I really like the idea of people humming “Two Minute Warning”
without realising what it’s about.” Alan Wilder.

“And I think the same applies to ‘The grabbing hands grab all they can’.
They might suddenly think ‘well, what does all this mean?’ Admittedly a lot
of people will just hum the tune and never think about it, just cos it’s a
good beat – that’s exactly what my mum does.” Dave Gahan.

beacuase in the U.S. version there are a lot o songs that are
missing!!….. does anyone knows if there are a DVD with the complete
concert and where can I find it?…. Thank’s.

  • The VHS I owned had «two minute…» and «shout» but no «ice machine».
Speaking of Ice Machiune You should check out Royksopp’s version with an
amazing norwegian singer Susanne Sundfor. It’s on YT.

  • Hi Boleplissken, thank’s, I know I already own my original VHS of «The
world we live in» Live in Hamburg, I paid to some guy to pass it to a
digital format for me, but I don’t know if it’s an American Version where
some tracks are missing, because it doesn’t appear for example «Two minute
    warning», «Shout», «Ice Machine» and some others that I’ve seen in youtube
    from the same show… :(

  • This complete gig was indeed filmed. It’s called «The world we live in»
Live in Hamburg. Surely You can Find it in the US, maybe on Amazon or
ebay….or just download it from YT.
