Depeche Mode’s – ‘I sometimes wish I was dead’ (original version) & Fad Gadget’s – ‘King of the Flies’ (version), were both on a ‘flexi-disk’, that came (free) with ‘FLEXIPOP!’ magazine No. 11 (2nd October 1981). The Depeche Mode song has since been included on recent issues of their debut LP: ‘Speak & Spell’ as an extra track.. the ‘new’ version is different from this ‘1st release’. the story goes that – Martin & Fletch were away & Vince & Dave worked on this as a duo project over a weekend. The buildings featured in this clip are ‘Blackwing Studios’ (where so much of all this ‘early great music’ was recorded.
