Musician and composer Jamey Cassell’s latest release is Covering the 80s, a four song EP of 1980s reimagined hits. Covering the 80s trades the classic synth sounds of the eighties for the organic instrumentation of pianos, guitars, and strings.

Cassell is a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, and producer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Under the umbrella «Majordomo Music,» Cassell writes music for tv and film across multiple genres. His songwriting blends indie rock, alt-pop, and new wave, while his instrumental work gravitates toward ambient and melodic textures.

Prior to Covering the 80s, Cassell released an electro pop and ambient project called Waterloo Sunrise comprised of melodic synth riffs and electric guitar melodies. The name “Waterloo Sunrise” comes from Cassell’s childhood memories living in Waterloo, Belgium, as well as a reference to the song “Waterloo Sunset” by the Kinks.

Cover songs licensed through Easy Song Licensing.
