  • … and Phillip Glass was an inspiration to Alan Wilder to «fix» or
    «produce» PIMPF! :D

  • «When you say experimental it always sounds like the music has to somehow
sound odd. That’s not the case. I take a trial and error approach. I try
out different ideas to express the images in my head. That’s a very time-
consuming process because, for me, every little detail is important,
‘Hydrology’ was instrumental and experimental. Around this time I felt
that, because I was already in a pop group, I could be more radical with
Recoil and just do whatever came to mind. I guess I didn’t feel the need to
produce something more complete. Nowadays I’m aware of my ability to do so
much more than just experimental, instrumental music. Recoil has grown and
changed a lot throughout the years.» Alan Wilder.

  • I love this kind of music so much especially at the beginning. Is that
choral sample off the Emulator? Do you know any other kids of music outside
of DM/Recoil/And One/ that sounds like this? THANKS.

  • Imagine yourself approaching a church on a high hill as you listen to the
opening of this brilliant track. Closer, closer, closer….then through the
doors…,.the fanfare then into the techno loops.

  • I am starting to discover Recoil’s world and I am loving it! Alan Wilder is
    so talented!
